In the morning you will wake up to the smells of double smoked bacon, sausage patties sizzling and Alice at the grill making cinnamon french toast, buttermilk pancakes, or sausage gravy over biscuits all served with farm fresh eggs.
You are served your noon meal at our cabin. When you are finished with the hunt we will have an appetizer for you such as sausage stuffed jalapeno peppers, hot pheasant chunks, bourbon soaked smokies, and a shrimp dip platter to name a few. Then at 7pm dinner is served. You are sure to enjoy Alice’s dinners which will be BBQ ribs, fried chicken, baked thick cut pork chops, roast beef and mashed potato plate, turkey and ham with all the trimmings or prime rib dinner, but the favorite among many is the way she prepares her tasty pheasant dishes!
You are served fresh baked dinner rolls every evening, along with made from scratch pies, caramel crunch cheesecake, warm chocolate waffle served with homemade vanilla ice cream drizzled with caramel topping, pecan apple crisp, warm bread pudding and a variety of other desserts.
Alice hears quite often from hunters that they thought they would lose weight from all the walking during the hunt, but not so after eating all Alice serves them when it comes to meals. She couldn’t do it without her staff which includes Lea, Myrna, Cheri, Lori, Barb, Joan and Joanna by her side. We receive many compliments from our clients how clean the lodge is and how friendly our staff is to our clients.
